  6. blackie007 says:

I think the residents at Pulau Ketam might not realise the full consequence of their act. They didn’t want the stray dogs put to death.

A few years ago, I think in 2002 or 2003, my hubby and I went on day trip to explore every inch of Pulau Ketam. This is what we saw:

    1) There is no “piped-in” electricity there. The rich has generators while the poor use candles. They were fanning themselves with paper and bamboo fans to cool themselves.

    2) There is only one clinic that serves the whole island. There is no vet clinic and certainly no pet shops.

    3) There is only ONE primary school, no secondary school, no kindergartens and no nurseries.

    4) There is only one bank there — Maybank.

    5) Only one fire brigade.

    6) If I remember, only 8 homes on the entire island have a TV and Astro.

My point is, these are people who are living in their own secular world, and might not know the consequences of their actions. Let’s not judge them for the time being, unless they repeat these actions.

    Just my 5 cents…*peace*

By doing this, they hope the dogs will ‘disappear’? Pity the dogs. They’re living creatures like us. I can’t imagine being exiled in an island with no food and water.

Well, the damage have been done. I hope by speading words might help Sabrina Yeap (Furry Friends Farm) collecting donation for the dogs’ medical bill and hope there will be more good-hearted people help to adopt them 😦

    Malaysian dogs deserve better.

  8. furrybutts says:

Sad, indeed. I hope all these dogs will be rescued soon and given better lives.

  9. It never ceases to amaze me how cruel human beings can be in the name of God or in the name of humanity or in the name of whatever they want to call it that day.

    The kitties momma

  10. Sabrina does so much good work. She should be given a datuk-ship. Except that I have the feeling she doesn’t care much for that sort of thing πŸ™‚

  11. fredyna85 says:

it is good to know that there are still people who are kind enough to make something better.
