M & M always be the coolest couple in the house. I wonder if i can get a bunny-girl as sweet as Mickybell from the Fluffy Juniors for Maxie.

Maxie is a new-comer in our house. But since he was from the same litter of Mocha and Mickybell, he is considered as senior too πŸ˜€

We have a lot of Navel Orange in the fridge. I’ve become an orange-lover since we have the bunnies in our house. Nyom nyom! Anyone want some too? πŸ˜›

  6. Freckles doesn’t like oranges. Isn’t it funny how different they can be!

  7. Rabbits' Guy says:

Never heard of a bunny eating an orange!!! Always something new …

  8. Gabriella says:

Mine don’t like oranges – in fact, the day I tried they run away with a foot flick, I think they didn’t like the smell! Funny indeed how bunnies can have different tastes… strawberries, however, they are much appreciated. I’d say give the oranges to me πŸ˜‰

  9. That orange looks super yummy!

    hey you!!

long time no see…what sweet bunnies you have here!

so on a side note…not long ago i wrote to a rabbit specialist asking her if it was ok to feed fats a tiny sliver of garlic as an antibiotic for his sneeze….supposedly garlic and citrus have something in them that isn’t good for bunnies…i can’t remember exactly why but just thought i’d pass it on. i think it was something about causing a type of anemia (Heinz body anemia)….again i’m not positive about this.

  11. thefluffies says:

    Hi Alice..
Yeah, some told me that too..But no worry, i will not feed them with orange again next time. At least i know some comments/issues regarding orange here..

But i do read somewhere else that acid from the citrus can help to soften the fur in the stomach.. And in a small amount, of course. Btw, i would like to see more comments on this issue…

    Thanx, Alice!

  12. furrybutts says:

Ascorbic acid in citrus fruits is supposed to help acidify the stomach pH, which is a good thing.. keeps the pH at the right level.

  13. Wonder if it is ok to feed oranges to rabbits with empty stomach.

  14. thefluffies says:

Orange contains high acid and can change the pH drastically and may affect the microb in the gut. And this is really bad for rabbits with empty stomach. But in a small amount, it can helps to soften furball in the gut.

I squeezed/blended a small piece of orange with a glass of plain water. So that the smell can tempt my sick rabbit to drink more.
