A lot of this wild shrubs plant are found in my apartment compound. The scientific name is Acalypha Indica. Locally known as ‘Pokok Kucing Galak’ in Malaysia.

Cats simply love the scent from the roots and give them a weird reaction, as if they are high! But not all cats will respond to this plant, especially the kittens.

I pulled it out to the root and brought it home for The Purrrrs.

And how is their respond to this plant? Taraaaa~

The others, especially the kittens just sniff and exploring the plant. But i think this plant gives a pleasure and relax feeling to our 12-years old cat, Chimoneng.

Chimoneng chewed and rubbed herself to the plant’s root.  And she is drooling while enjoying this behavior. Weird!

I made some reading and found out that Acalypha Indica also known as Indian herb and used to treat various diseases like bronchitis, pneumonia and asthma. It is also used to cure toothache, earache and useful in speedy laxative. The roots of acalypha indica are cathartic, leaves are used to cure scabies and snake bite. Acalypha Indica leave past is mainly applied on burns and power is used for bed sores and maggot infested wounds. Wow, this is a new info for me

Ok, next time i will try to find Nepeta Cataria (locally known as Catnip/Catmint) plant and see how The Purrrrs respond to it

Her right canine teeth are lose and protruding out. And her upper gum is swollen.

Bad bad teeth!!

I took Flubby to the Hope Veterinary Clinic in Penang Island this morning. The doctor said the teeth might have broken due to an impact such as banged into the wall etc.

Flubby was diagnosed with Cushing Syndrome and Diabetic last year by Honey Vet Clinic in Bangi. And because of that, the Hope vets are not confident to do any surgery on her. According to Dr Tina, the surgery might increase her glucose level during/after surgery and might expose her to possible complication. Dr Tina adviced us to go to KL and look for a vet who can perform safe teeth extraction on Flubby. But if i insist to do the surgery at their clinic, Dr Tina needs to order some special antibiotics and other medicine for Flubby.

I called Dr Pavabakaran who performed catheterization on Jebat last 2 weeks. But the vet was close and asked us to come on Monday. In the meanwhile, Dr Pava adviced me to get the Bonjela gel to sooth her swelling gum.

 She looks painful and uncomfortable. She tries to pull off her teeth with her paws.

She sleeps with her tongue out and still drooling.

 Despite of her pain, i think she still be able to enjoy her sleep. Crossing fingers that her situation doesn’t get worse until we manage to see Dr Pava this Monday.

Years ago, blogging and blog-walking were my ‘hobbies’.

My most favourite blog was Furrybutts. I miss Hans. I wonder how the sweet boy Yohji, alpha Buttons, and mysterious Bailey are doing right now. Their Mommy just stopped blogging. And it became one of the reason why i stopped visiting my friends’ blog too.

I didnt had any intention to stop writing and sharing about my pets.

I never realized that i had abandoned my blog for more than a year… It started after Shiro’s passing.

Then Moris..
Then The Squirrels…
Then The Chipmunks….

I hate sharing and writing sad stories. It makes my heart shattered into million pieces….

But now, I’m trying to write again. And hope nothing can stop me this time.

I want to keep writing.

This blog is the only way to recall all the memories i had with my pets…

Recently, I’ve been working on a few things. I didn’t realized i have failed to spend times with The Fluffies and failed to make the weekly routine until i found this.

This is Mocha’s incisors today. He has a difficulties to pick up raisin from my hand.

One of the peg teeth has misaligned. The lower incisor worn out.

Healthy teeth should have clear color. But as u see from the side photo, the upper incisors start to turn white in color (click photo for bigger view).

He lost the lower incisor in Feb 2011.
This was how the the incisors looked like previously. No white patch on the teeth.

Mickybell’s upper incisors look longer than them supposed to be, but they’re still aligned.

Alfie lost his lower incisor too, the same week Mocha lost his (Feb 2011). We sent Alfie for teeth burring. 2 weeks later, the upper incisors grew back to their original length. But until today, the length remain the same. So i’m not really worry about him compared to Mocha.

Will send Mocha to the same vet who perform teeth burring to Alfie.

Now i have to monitor these 3 Fluffies VERY closely.
